Film posters exhibition at the Nordic House

It’s time to write more about events that will take place during the ‘Polish Posters under Northern Lights’ project and present you closer our partners from Iceland.
Let’s start with The Nordic House in Reykjavik where you will see Film posters exhibition that will take place between 22nd of September and 9th of October 2017.

Film posters exhibition features a selection of Polish posters for international films. The posters have been created in the last decade and are individual interpretations of the older movies. A part of posters is related to movies whose directors were honorary guests at Reykjavik Film Festival in past years, among others David Cronenberg, Jim Jarmusch or Alejandro Jodorowsky. Additionally, the exhibition will show posters for famous movies of Stanley Kubrick, David Lynch, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Roman Polański or Krzysztof Kieślowski.

The Nordic House I Norræna húsið in Reykjavik is a cultural institution that was opened in 1968, operated by the Nordic Council of Ministers. It’s goal is to foster and support Nordic collaboration. The house produces a wide variety of cultural activities all year round including art exhibitions, concerts and literature events, and offers a comfortable environment for kids and families (http://nordichouse.is).

The coordinator of the event in Iceland is Gunn Hernes the project manager at the Nordic House. She has been a guest speaker at several workshops in the field of music and performing arts. Worked as an independent producer for many years and toured internationally with different dance companies, and has been planning outdoor festivals and concerts.

We will be happy to meet You there!
